The Long Tall Clothing Company is an Australian based family business which retails clothes specially designed for tall women. We have changed the structure of our business from a retail shop in Melbourne which closed on 13th October 2001 to a mail order and manufacturing business. These changes have allowed us to lower our prices on all new stock, and we will be passing more savings on to you in the future. Since June 2002, we have had a showroom open in Box Hill on Fridays and Saturdays where you can try our garments on. Click on the "contact us" button for details.

The Long Tall Clothing Company Box Hill showroom closed on 17th January, 2009 due to declining showroom sales while internet orders remained strong. The majority of our customers are from either interstate or overseas, or have been regulars for many years, and are either unable or don't need to visit us, and happily purchase their favourite garments online. The LTCC website remains, and our regular newsletter will continue to keep you informed of new arrivals. Our current advertised special will remain until closure on the 17th, and for those who call in on this day, you will be invited to enjoy a glass of champagne, to say farewell to our small but cosy retail outlet. Our shop in Blackburn was opened in November 95 by Sue (who is 6' 3"). This was always an ambition of Sue's, following years of frustration trying to find good quality clothes that fit well. We will be adding to our range each season, and hope to have something for everyone. We have low waisted hipsters and bootlegs designed for younger customers through to tailored and casual pants and jeans for a wider range of ages. All pants and jeans have at least a 36"inseam, with some going to 38". We also have a selection of blouses, shirts, dresses and tops - all designed for tall ladies.

All of our garments are designed and manufactured in Melbourne, most under our own LONGTALL label. All sizes are standard Australian sizes (which vary from US sizes so please have a look at our tall sizes page) and prices are in Australian dollars. We will be updating the site as new additions to our range arrive, and as other items of interest happen. Our web site was setup in 1997, after a customer from Monash Uni posted an article to the newsgroups alt.support.tall. This led to us being listed in what was then www.blueplanet.com / tallweb's clothing list for tall women. Our web site now sends clothing to every corner of Australia as well as places all over Europe, Asia, the Pacific and North America.
